Cost - $200

Goals for the course

-          Produce a clearly written, artistic, and personally expressive lead sheet arrangement a jazz standard to use on a gig of your own, and add an optional 2^nd or 3^rd part for a jazz quintet or sextet.

-          Perform arrangement ideas for your class peers, and perform your arrangement online, live or pre-recorded

-          Try melodic and rhythmic techniques discussed

-          Use music notation software, and/or clear hand-written notation to produce a lead sheet for rhythm section and soloist

-          Expand to a 2 or 3-horn format for use with a jazz quintet or sextet

-          Introduce techniques for rhythm section notation

-          Introduce 4-part vertical techniques
