The Taipei-based TPO Big Band, under the direction of saxophonist Jim Geddes, commissioned this arrangement of a Hakka folk song. A tribute to the virtue of hard work, this chart takes the pentatonic folk melody and sets it to a modal vamp and gives space for alto and tenor saxophone solos. The TPO works hard, but makes it look easy!
